Dagtum is the right hand man of Asval.
Dagtum was present during the war between Sapiro and Hathoria. While fighting, he called Alira Naswen's attention to Agane, who was leaving the battlefield. Alira Naswen then followed Agane, though she was defeated.
After the war, Alira Naswen asked Aquil if there were other Sapiryan survivors, such as Dagtum. Unbeknownst to her, Dagtum had joined Asval's party.
During the rebellion of Pirena, he asked if they should help the diwatas, but Asval refused to help. When Asval sighted Ybarro and asked Dagtum to identify him, Dagtum replies that he is just a worthless mandirigma.
After Asval shot Minea, Dagtum asked if Asval was sure that he hurt Minea. Asval said he was sure that she is now dead because of the strength of the poison he used. When Dagtum asked what good it will do them, Asval replied that with Minea's death, the relationship of the sisters would deteriorate, so he could acquire their powers more easily.
With Axilom, Dagtum accompanied Asval as he interrogated Arex about the location of the kantao of King Armeo, key to the lost treasures of Sapiro. When Alira Naswen arrived, Dagtum tells her not to intervene. They were forced to flee when the Lireo soldiers arrived. Dagtum protests when Asval killed Arex even though they do not yet know the exact holder of the kantao, but Asval says it is more important that no one should know what they were up to.
As Asval, Dagtum and Axilom were traveling they saw Ybarro fighting a group of Hathors. Dagtum said they should not intervene, because they would gain nothing from it. But Asval opted to watch, and they learn that Ybarro is a Sapiryan royal, with the ability to heal himself. When Ybarro denied it, Dagtum wondered why he did not know.
After shooting Ybarro, Asval tells Dagtum and his other followers what he had done. When Dagtum asked why, Asval replies that there should only be one Sapiryan of royal blood. He was sure that Ybarro was Ybrahim, and will be an obstacle in his dreams of reviving Sapiro. Dagtum asked how Asval could be certain that Ybarro is dead, since they both have healing abilities. Asval replied that he had poisoned arrow. Dagtum nods.
After Asval's death, Dagtum, along with Axilom, eventually sides with Rehav Ybrahim and returning his loyalty to Sapiro.
Dagtum and Axilom are killed by the Hadezars during the war against Hagorn's Hadezar army.
Dagtum uses his mace as a personal weapon, just like most of the Sapiryan warriors, but without needing any shield.
- Dagtum's original series counterpart was Bandok, who was skilled in spear fighting.
